“A woman never goes anywhere…

My jewelry box is a small, wooden cigar box. It has served me well. Where do you store your jewelry? Do you keep it all together or is some by the sink and other pieces on the bedside table? Best practice is to have it all in one place. Now might be a good time to round it all up and have a discerning look at your collection.

As you can see, my collection is a bunch of Bakelite bangles, a Bakelite pin and a few rings. The rings are kept in plastic bags because this keeps the sterling and gold from rubbing against each other and creating a dull finish. If you don't have plastic bags, anti-tarnish wrapping paper is great.

If you don't have any of the above, you will once you send your jewelry to me for repair, redesign or cleaning. All jewelry is returned wrapped and ready for storage in your drawer, shelf or cigar box. Go through your jewelry box and determine what you want, what you would like to gift, donate or scrap. Any designs that need repair, redesign or cleaning, take a photo of and send it to me. We can work out pricing through email or telephone.

Silver linings in March and April...

My son, Dominic, is visiting from Maine. His arrival was right on time for prepping and planting my vegetable and herb gardens. So far, snow peas, bush peas, carrots, parsley, oregano, dill and basil. Not to mention, he untangled two sweet cut leaf maples and repotted them in their own pots.

After working in the garden, Dominic was happy get creative in the kitchen and put together delicious dinners and desserts. Homemade pastas, pizzas and chocolate chip/walnut cookies, to mention a few delights. How lucky? Very lucky

Then we settled into a little Jeopardy and some practice on the guitar. I hope you and your families, friends and neighbors are staying safe and feeling well. We have the power.
