Review the contents of your jewelry box and create three categories.
- Jewelry that you cherish. I will clean, repair or re-deisgn these items and return to you in anti-tarnish paper.
- Jewelry to gift. I will clean and gift wrap these items.
- Pieces that are not repairable/wearable that can be scrapped for cash. Contact me to discuss scraping information.
Review Category One and Two:
- Check that all settings, chains and clasps are secure.
- Make sure all pieces are properly sized
- Determine if jewelry is clean
- Arrange all jewelry that requires any attention on a sheet of white paper and take a photograph. Email the photograph to amy@amyragsdale.com or text to 215-542-7570. Once I receive the photograph I can reply with an estimate on repairs, cleaning, redesign or restringing.
- If you agree to the estimate, wrap all your jewelry in tissue paper and place it securely in a United States Postal Service Small Flat Rate Priority Box with tracking along with a check for the total. Make sure the contents are tightly packed and there is no shifting or movement of the items.

Keeping your jewelry clean and safe.
- Remove jewelry when applying deodorants, lotions, perfumes and hair products.
- Avoid contact with household chemicals, chlorine and salt water.
- Store jewelry in plastic bags or tissue paper (all Jewelry Box MakeOver pieces are returned to you individually wrapped). This prevents the designs from touching each other, causing the metal to dull.
