‘there is only one way to happiness

“There is only one way to happiness
and that is to cease worrying about things
which are beyond the power of our will.”
Epictetus

That leads us to question… what is within the power of our will?

For me, my will will be manifesting a big horse farm/retreat center that looks enchantingly like the images above.  A stone farmhouse for me and my handsome, healthy and happy (tall and wealthy) partner (also manifesting).  Plenty of room for my children to visit and additional homes for them to stay and work.  Acreage for my friend family to live and work there as well too.  We all have the singular goal:

Be Kind.

When I say ‘be kind’ I am not being glib, although I do a great glib.  I am serious.  Being kind means taking responsibility for the environment you create, the resources you use, and the corporations and organizations you support.  If the result of your actions is not kind to the community you live in and the planet that sustains you, then… start finding ways to change your thoughts and behaviors.  Spoiler Alert:  This is not going to be easy.

The domesticated Amy Ragsdale would say: "Hey folks, don't you think its time we stopped fracking and stopped using single use plastics? The new improved me is here to say. 'Yo, people. We are exponentially accelerating the destruction of planet Earth as we know it. It is time to take some fucking personal responsibility and become a vector in a wholesome direction. The above was the ‘spoiler alert’ was trying to warn you of.
But if you are not alarmed by the extreme
droughts, fires, floods and mudslides
perhaps you are not phased by my sincere plea.

However…

If you have children or grandchildren who enjoy fruit,
clean water, or fresh air, you might want to consider your choices.

Yes.  After all that I am still going to try to persuade you to support a small business, an artist, who creates singular symbols of devotion and comfort. A dedicated woman who, unlike urban outfitters or H&M, applies sustainable and ethical practices in my manufacturing and shipping operations.  And, unlike Amazon (please stop using them) I have a sincere and genuine interest in the life of my work and the human beings who will be wearing it.

Honestly.

Thanks for walking with me.
I really do hope we all enjoy the little time we have left.
Let’s be like Joan.  She said,
“I am not afraid, I was made for this.”
and I believe we are.

Oh!  I am scheduling Trunk Shows at my Studio
and homes and offices in the Delaware Valley, through this fall,
so check it out if you want a decent excuse to have a fabulous soiree.
