we all die

The quote by Chuck sure is rolling around my head these days.
“We all die. The goal isn’t to live forever,
the goal is to create something that will.”

Also rolling around is this quote from Rumi, which also speaks of
creating something that might last forever, love.

“Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes.
Because for those who love with heart and soul
there is no such thing as separation.”

“Somehow, it was hotter then: a black dog suffered on a summer’s day; bony mules hitched to Hoover carts flicked flies in the sweltering shade of the live oaks on the square. Men’s stiff collars wilted by nine in the morning. Ladies bathed before noon, after their three o’clock naps, and by nightfall were like soft teacakes with frostings of sweat and sweet talcum.”

To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee

In an effort to leave something that endures, I am sending love. Lots of love.  Lots of forgiveness and acceptance.  This is not an altruistic move, this is for me.  This is to expand my heart and heal my wounds.

I also felt like sharing some recent photos and three lines from my favorite book of all time.  Below is a photo of three pair of coquette earrings I made this week.  Sterling silver with glass, crystals and some other orange beads.  If you would like to purchase a pair, or two, give me a holler.  If you take good care of them, they will last forever.  Honest.
