laughter connects

These are not the funniest of times.  I’ve found myself weeping, restless and straight out grief stricken when reminded of the condition our collective condition is in.  Most of the folks I know are moving in and out of the same sense of disbelief and despair.  We are fucked and we don’t quite know what to do about it.  The song Janis sings, Get it While You Can, pretty much nails it, as Janis could. I would add, give it while you can too.  Give what you can, when you can.  Pay it forward, ask a neighbor if you can pick something up for them, retrieve litter on the side of the road, call your mother, carpool, be kind, be generous, be thoughtful with your actions and words.  I am doing my best to be aware of how I am treating the earth by avoiding plastics, driving less, minimizing my belongings.  I am also consciously working on becoming an expert listener.
